Traveler, named for his traveling between campsites, was likely dropped off earlier this summer at a campground in town and the campers fed him and gave him attention. At the end of the camping season, in mid-October, one of the campers took him back to his barn so the cat could have shelter over the Winter. On Friday Traveler ended up back in town, over 6 miles away from where the barn is located. Poor guy has an injured paw that we can only guess is from an animal trap.
Mr. Traveler can use all the good vibes he can get! Tomorrow he'll have a leukemia test done and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he's negative! If the results come back positive this sweet little cat will have to be humanely euthanized.
